Get ready, 'White Lotus' fans, because the next chapter is unfolding, and it's bringing some fresh faces to the screen! Mike White is hard at work assembling the cast for Season 4 of the hit HBO series, and we've got the first exciting names to share: Alexander Ludwig and AJ Michalka are officially on board! This news has ignited a buzz of anticipation, promising another season of drama, intrigue, and the signature dark humor we've come to love.
The dynamic duo will be the first to grace the screen in the upcoming season, which is set to unfold in the stunning backdrop of France. But that's not all – whispers of Helena Bonham Carter joining the cast are also circulating, adding even more star power to the already impressive lineup.
But here's where it gets controversial... Details about the plot and character descriptions are being kept tightly under wraps. HBO has only revealed that Season 4 will follow a new group of guests and employees at a White Lotus hotel over the span of a week. This leaves us with a tantalizing mystery, doesn't it? What secrets will be revealed? What new relationships will form?
Production is rumored to begin in the spring, but the exact location within France remains a mystery. Previous seasons have utilized Four Seasons Resorts as stand-ins for the fictional White Lotus resorts, and France offers a range of luxurious options, including the Grand-Hôtel du Cap-Ferrat and Paris’ Hotel George V. However, HBO currently doesn't have a marketing agreement with the Four Seasons for this season.
Casey Bloys, Chairman and CEO of HBO and HBO Max Content, confirmed last month that casting had begun for the next installment of the HBO murder mystery anthology series, created by Mike White.
White has a knack for bringing together a blend of established and emerging talent, and the first three seasons have been highly acclaimed. Season 3, set in Thailand, featured an ensemble cast including Walton Goggins, Michelle Monaghan, and Carrie Coon, among others. The show received a staggering 23 Emmy nominations for its third season, including eight acting nominations. Over its run, 'The White Lotus' has garnered an impressive 66 Emmy nominations, with 16 wins.
Season 4 is, once again, created, written, and directed by the visionary Mike White. He'll be joined by executive producers David Bernad and Mark Kamine.
Alexander Ludwig is represented by Untitled Entertainment, Gersh and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern. AJ Michalka is represented by United Talent Agency, Amplified, and McKuin, Frankel, Whitehead.
