Pamphinette Buisa: Canada international signs with Bristol Bears Women
Bristol Bears Women have secured the services of Canadian international Pamphinette Buisa on a contract through the remainder of the Premiership Women's Rugby season.
Buisa, who can operate across the back row, has represented Canada in both XVs and sevens on the world stage, including appearances at the Olympics and the Sevens World Cup.
The 28-year-old earned a place in Canada's World Cup squad recently, where the team finished as runners-up. She was forced to miss the tournament after sustaining an injury in the final warm-up match.
Bristol head coach Scott Lawson described Buisa as a "phenomenal addition" to the squad.
"She is a dynamic athlete with genuine versatility across the back row, and she brings a level of physicality and intensity that elevates those around her," Lawson said. "Her international experience with Canada provides real pedigree, and equally important is the energy and professionalism she brings off the field."
Buisa becomes the Bears’ second international signing in quick succession, following the arrival of New Zealand co-captain Ruahei Demant.
The Bears have hit a tough run of form, losing their last four outings after their season-opening 74-0 win over Leicester, which leaves them sitting ninth in the standings.
