In a captivating turn of events, Heather Gay, a prominent star from ‘The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,’ has opened up about her current relationship with her co-star Meredith Marks following a tumultuous season filled with drama. On January 13, Heather shared her thoughts with NJ.com, revealing, "The reunion is the last time we’ve spoken." This statement comes after the filming of the season 6 reunion in early December 2025, where emotions ran high, as evidenced by the trailer that showcases a fierce argument between the two women.
During this intense confrontation, Meredith expressed her feelings by stating, "She screeched at me for two months," to which Heather retorted fiercely, saying, "Screeched at you for two months? F–k you. Our friendship is over from this moment on. Buckle up, Meredith." Heather later reflected on the reunion, describing the atmosphere as having become "really heated" and noting that the conclusion of the reunion left more emotional pain than resolution.
The feud between Heather and Meredith originated from a dramatic incident on a flight returning from Barbados to Utah. Off-camera, Meredith allegedly confronted Britani Bateman for supposedly spreading rumors about her husband, Seth Marks, being seen with another woman. Multiple witnesses, including Heather, Whitney Rose, Mary Cosby, and Angie Katsanevas, recounted how Meredith reacted loudly and made derogatory remarks about Britani during the flight. While both Meredith and Lisa Barlow tried to downplay the altercation, claiming it was merely a venting session, Heather felt frustrated that Meredith seemed to imply she was lying about the situation.
At the reunion, Heather remarked on how Meredith provided more insight into her stance, stating, "Meredith really kind of explains a lot of her position at the reunion, and I think it’s really interesting for her to tell everyone why she’s sticking to her version and why it’s been so hard for her to talk about." Despite appreciating Meredith's perspective, Heather admitted feeling hurt by her actions throughout the season. She expressed, "I would have been a lot less accommodating if I thought when I was talking to Meredith she was interpreting our friendship as me shrieking at her. I definitely wouldn’t have been speaking to her for those two months [if I’d known that]. I regret all of those conversations that were reduced to such a negative, horrible way to characterize our friendship. So, noted. No more shrieking for me. I will not speak to you."
As Heather takes a step back from her relationship with Meredith, she is focusing on her own mental and physical health. Being open about her weight loss journey, she mentioned using a GLP-1 medication that has helped her maintain her love for food while improving her overall health. "GLP-1s have miraculously — I don’t know a different word — enabled me to still love the foods I love and be the person I am, but to have my body work better. And that’s the only way I can explain it," Heather said. She emphasized the positive changes in her nutrition and metabolism, expressing that it allows her to prioritize what truly matters in her life, rather than fixating on weight.
Heather also shared that she is entering a new chapter in her life, which prompted her to team up with Atkins for a partnership. She explained, "I’ve had other products, people, and weight loss companies approach me, and I’ve never wanted to partner with anyone because it wasn’t authentic to my lifestyle or to what I was actually doing. [But] Atkins is delicious. Their snacks are delicious. You can’t even tell they’re healthy, and that’s the biggest endorsement I could give." Her favorite Atkins products include the milk chocolate protein shake and the protein bars, which she finds fit seamlessly into her lifestyle. "This partnership has been really natural and easy and exciting," she added. "Even if you can’t access GLP-1s right now, you can still treat your body well with delicious, impactful nutritional shakes and bars and Atkins products."
