Get ready for an exciting transformation in the world of Christian radio! The Joy FM is about to spread its wings and take flight, and we're here to tell you all about it.
Radio Training Network's 88.3 WAFJ, serving the communities of Belvedere, SC, and Augusta, GA, is undergoing a significant rebrand. Starting on January 20th, this beloved station will officially become "The Joy FM," joining its parent organization's flagship brand across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee.
But here's where it gets interesting: despite the rebrand, WAFJ will retain its local leadership, headed by Station Manager John Bryant. Bryant shared his excitement, saying, "This new chapter brings about some significant changes, changes that we believe God has been guiding us towards. I'm thrilled to continue serving the CSRA with even greater impact, as our ministry gains access to resources that will allow us to expand our reach and impact."
Along with the new brand, WAFJ is also introducing a fresh lineup of programming. Listeners can expect to tune into Radio Training Network's on-air talent, including "The Morning Cruise" hosted by the dynamic trio of Dave Cruse, Bill Martin, and Carmen Brown from 6-10 am. Candice Grey will take over from 10 am to 3 pm, followed by The Jayar Show from 3-7 pm. Michelle Tellone will grace the airwaves during the night, and Sandy James will keep the joy going overnight.
Carmen Brown, who also serves as Radio Training Network's VP of Programming, shared her enthusiasm, saying, "Our love for the gospel is what sets us apart. We can't wait to bring gospel-centered programming to the CSRA and connect with our listeners on a deeper level!"
So, what do you think about this exciting rebrand? Are you ready to embrace The Joy FM and all the wonderful programming it has to offer? We'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
