In recent developments, the Ghana Immigration Service has issued an urgent warning to job applicants about a deceptive SMS that has been making rounds on social media and other communication platforms. This fraudulent message misleadingly states that certain applicants have successfully moved on to the next phase of the recruitment process and must pay a fee to continue.
However, the Immigration Service has clarified that no such advancement has occurred, and no payments are being requested from any applicants at this time. In a statement released on December 15, the management of the Ghana Immigration Service emphatically declared, "This information is completely false." They further explained that neither the Service nor the Ministry of the Interior has announced the start of the subsequent stage in the recruitment process.
The application period remains open until the official closing date of December 19, 2025, allowing applicants to submit their materials without concern. The Immigration Service strongly advises all candidates to steer clear of engaging with individuals or entities responsible for these fraudulent messages. Additionally, they urged applicants to be wary of so-called 'protocol' offers, which are often traps set by scammers.
To ensure safety and authenticity, the Immigration Service emphasized that candidates will only receive communications through verified channels, including official SMS messages, approved email addresses, designated phone numbers, or by accessing the C-SERP recruitment portal directly.
